He is the younger brother of renowned carver, Raymond Chee, who has been an important influence in his life. Both Chee brothers are fantastic carvers. Coming from both Navajo and Hopi heritage, they explore artistic themes from both tribes, as well as other Native American stories, figures, and motifs. They are some of the very few who will carve Navajo sculptures, like the Yei Be Chai dancers.
